Food

Food: Sattvic & Healthy

What we eat, not only influences our physical well-being, but also our emotions and thoughts. Yoga does not dissect food into proteins, carbohydrates or fats, instead, it classifies them according to the effect they have on the body and mind, into three types. – Sattva, Rajas and Tamas

Sattvic Food Is The Kind That Makes You Feel Energetic & Enthusiastic.

Rajasic Food Is That Which Brings About Activity Or Restlessness.

Tamasic Food Is The Kind Of Food That Makes Us Lethargic Or Sluggish.

The 200 Hour YTTC lays the foundation of yoga teaching, covering the core asanas, philosophy, anatomy and teaching methodology needed for Yoga Alliance RYT 200 registration. The 300 Hour course builds on that foundation with more advanced asana work and deeper study of yoga philosophy and teaching skills, preparing experienced students to refine their practice and teaching ability further. Together, the 200 Hour and 300 Hour trainings can combine toward the RYT 500 registration with Yoga Alliance.

Yes, the 300 Hour Yoga Teacher Training at Sanskriti Yogpeeth is an advanced-level course intended for students who already hold a 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training certification. If you completed your 200 Hour training with us, you will already be familiar with our campus, teaching style and Rishikesh surroundings, and many students choose to continue their journey here for that reason. If your 200 Hour certification is from another school, we are happy to discuss your background before you enroll.

Beyond your travel documents, we suggest packing comfortable, breathable clothing suited to yoga practice and Rishikesh's climate, a light jacket or shawl for cooler mornings and evenings, personal toiletries, any regular medication, a reusable water bottle, and modest clothing for visiting temples and the ashram surroundings. A universal power adapter is useful for Indian plug sockets. Since the course is residential, you will not need to arrange separate accommodation, just what you need to feel comfortable during your stay.

Once you complete the 300 Hour Yoga Teacher Training and receive your certificate, you will have the practical skills and theoretical grounding to teach yoga professionally. Combined with an existing 200 Hour Yoga Alliance registration, this training can support your application toward the RYT 500 designation with Yoga Alliance. Many of our graduates go on to teach at studios, gyms and retreat centers, lead their own classes, or continue deepening their practice through further study.
